UK Charts: Sleeping Dogs back on top, Guild Wars 2 toppled

Sleeping Dogs has reclaimed the top spot of the UK charts, knocking Guild Wars 2 off its perch after just one week.

The full UKIE chart will follow soon, although its interesting to see Sleeping Dogs return to the top spot after Guild Wars 2 was reportedly sold out in most stores across the country. Is it just me or has LEGO become one of the most profitable franchises this side of COD? Seriously, every time of the year I look at any non-Japanese charts, there is some form of LEGO Pirtes or LEGO Harry Potter or LEGO something.

You are absolutely right! i noticed that too @@

Now on Sleeping Dogs, I really enjoyed it and didnt look at it as a “GTA Wannabe”

First of all Wei shen (The Character you play with) is an undercover cop who joins a gang

its way different than GTA even though its a sandbox game.

That’s quite surprising to see GW2 drop from 1 down to 6 in a week. I’m sure most of their sales were digital but still, I was expecting it to stay there for at least a few weeks.

Good for Sleeping Dogs though.

The reason is as its said above, the game has sold out in most stores around the country mate.

@4, Even so, still seems like a pretty big drop. They must of had very small amounts of stock.

True. I read also that the game has been pulled out of stores due to servers over-load.

Sorry to see Darksiders 2 so low already. Tho it does have it’s issues.

Sleeping dogs is amazing tho so well deserved sales.

@6, It was suffering from some pretty bad lag and overflow issues about a week ago but it’s been relatively stable since then.

I think they should get their act together before the summer ends, there’s some big games coming out and I could see this being pushed down on a hot list of what to buy.

I wouldn’t worry about the sales drop for Guild Wars 2 in the slightest. The sales of these games are almost predominantly digital.
