Dark Souls 'easy mode' comment a case of "mistranslation," according to Namco

Dark Souls game director Hidetaka Miyazaki's comments regarding an Easy mode for the notoriously brutal game can be chalked up to a case of being "mistranslated," according to Namco.

Namco has provided a "revision" of Miyazaki's comment featuring his "true intention" to Metro, and it's posted below:

Original: "I am thinking about whether I should prepare another difficulty that everyone can complete or carefully send all gamers the messages behind our difficult games."

Revised statement: "This fact is really sad to me and I am thinking about how to make everyone complete the game while maintaining the current difficulty and carefully send all gamers the messages behind it."

The original statement was given during an interview with Metro.
