Fuse shows off first footage since shedding Overstrike title
Fuse is the new name for the Insomniac co-op action title previously known as Overstrike. The video through the break is the first chance we’ve had to look at it since its metamorphosis, and while you’ll spot some familiar elements, it’s clear a lot ahs changed.
This video, found on the newly-opened teaser site, is actually the first mission briefing, so probably quite representative of final tone.
Fuse was debuted during PAX Prime 2012, with Insomniac boss Ted Price re-revealing the four-player FPS.
Thanks, GameInformer.

Gone are the ‘wacky’ faces, stupid decision.

Wow, Insomniac somehow found a way to make OverStrike even more generic. Seriously, as everyone said they’ve really made it look worse.

@1 Thanx , I was going to say just that.
Way to go, Insomniac, the original characters design was special and the setting of the game was really not that special but it had a soul … Now it is the most generic thing ever!
Man look at Dalton’s new design, gone are the sarcastice face features, and the point is when insomniac tries to go serious you get crappy story aka Resistance series. So sad this game was in my radar….not anymore !

Wow, I have to agree here – one step forward, ten steps back. It’s like somebody blew out the imagination part of the design teams head and then put a sign saying “GENERIC GAMES MAKE MORE MONEY” on the wall.
@1′s picture is a summary of everything that is wrong. Even the characters look bored and fed up with being made generic.
Publisher meddling perhaps?

“Publisher meddling perhaps?” Would not surprise me in the least. What a disappointing way to reintroduce something that sprung out of the teasingly fresh and intriguing Overstrike.

I am somehow imagining as if Borderlands went from its over the top silly yet awesome cell shading direction to the old serious, boring and dull realistic direction.
