Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm beta now live

Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm has kicked into beta mode, with Blizzard promising to extend invites to more hopeful testers soon.

The closed beta is currently available only to a select handful of pro-gamers, shoutcasters, Arcade contest winners and journalists (not us), but as there’s no NDA you should start seeing content soon.

The general Starcraft 2 player base will soon be able to get in on the action though; as detailed on Battle.net, you need to make sure you’ve opted in to receive an invite. Blizzard notes that active players are more likely to score a beta position. Expect a slew of keys from site giveaways, too.

Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm has not been dated, but this beta is just one of a couple of signs that we might see it before the end of the year.

Thanks, Talkar!

Nice! Looking forward to it. But not too soon either. No. This year, I have to be successful at University.
