To the Moon: Steam release date, new episode confirmed

To the Moon, the emotionally charged indie RPG from Free Bird Games is heading to Steam. It tasks players with entering the subconscious of a dying man to help him fulfil his dream of going to the moon. It’s pretty sad.

Free Bird Games revealed that the game will hit Steam on September 9, and that it is currently working on a new episode of the game, in which the player must help someone else fulfil a dying dream.

If you haven’t played To the Moon, you can grab it here and check out a trailer below. Fans of SNES-era RPGs should like it.

Thanks Joystiq.

What’s sad about it? The first hour or two are filled with inappropriate, childish humor that destroys any emotional atmosphere that would start to build.

@1 the old man is dying, he’ll never fully get to physically live his wish. It’s just an implanted memory.
