It’s funny, they’ve gone and given the M16 a big recoil nerf because it’s hands down the best AR in the game, but today it emerged the reason for this is largely because suppression accuracy penalties are applied to the weapon rather than the player and the M16 receives zero suppression penalties. So the reason the M16 wins 9 out of 10 encounters against any other gun is probably down to that rather than any other factor.

Oh! Very interesting. We will be using little-birds more often now.
Also, the fact that from now on you won’t have to actually arm the M-COM.. mmm, mmhm!

The fact that they’re mixing up the weapons is awesome, you can try out weapons that used to suck when they do it like this. I see nothing negative about it. Change is good.

@5 I think it also kinda brings out one of the weaknesses of the game, in the amount of detail.
I’m sure freedoms_stain knows a lot more about that, but I always thought that was a shame in terms of being able to enjoy all the weapons equally.
BF3 has a lot of weapons, and those weapons have a lot of variables, so balance is close to impossible.
Reading those notes kinda reminds me of playing WoW where there was always the same problem. One thing would get boosted, five would get nerfed, then three would get boosted, and two would get nerfed, and it just never ends.
It doesn’t exactly make for e-sports precision.

@4 You still need to arm/disarm the MCOM. The difference is if you’re getting kill while doing it.
“Changed how MCOM station defend/attack KILL SCORE is calculated. VICTIM no longer needs to arm/disarm the crate but rather be in a 5 meter radius of the crate.”
