Final Fantasy Versus 13: 'Please wait a little longer' says Wada

Final Fantasy Versus 13 is still in development, Square-Enix head Yoichi Wada has reiterated, added that gamers must be patient. However, fresh 25th anniversary concept art suggests that the game may be dropping its 'Final Fantasy 13' moniker.

Spotted by Kotaku, the below art is included in a Final Fantasy 25th anniversary booklet issued at a recent event, showing Final Fantasy Versus 13 lead Noctis.

The text reads, "Please wait for his turn!"

Elsewhere, the actual name of the game is being called into question now, Square-Enix head took to the stage during the event and kept on referring to the game as simply 'Versus'.

Wada asked fans to remain patient, "I cannot say any more than, 'We are making Versus!' Please wait a little longer."

But with the incoming announcement of a new Final Fantasy 13 instalment, where does this leave Versus in the overall canon? We'll have more as it happens.
