Dementium II set for PC release

By Brenna Hillier, Friday, 31 August 2012 02:57 GMT

Well bless my soul, Renegade Kid’s classic DS first-person horror adventure is coming to PC. Everything is possible in an infinite universe, it seems.

Memetic Games is bringing Dementium II to PC, but it doesn’t seem like we’re looking at a straight port so much as a rebuild. The brief cinematic teaser below shows some new assets have been worked up, not to mention the evidence presented by sheer logic, viz, stright porting a DS game to PC seems like a terrible idea.

No release date or further details as yet, but a new website has been launched for the project so expect updates soonish.

Dementium II launched on DS in 2010; that, its precursor and sci-fi follow-up Moon were once Renegade Kid’s best-known works. The success of downloadable Mutant Mudds seems to have driven this knowledge from many a horror fan’s brain.

Thanks, GoNintendo.
