Fruit Ninja Kinect DLC goes retro

Fruit Ninja Kinect's next DLC pack is called 8-Bit Cartridge. Can you guess why from these screens and trailer?

Yes, that's right; Halfbrick's gone vintage with chiptunes and pixels so large you'll wish you had a less stellar telly - I'm kidding, it looks great. The DLC adds a Super Retro background, Game Man shadow and Pixel Love blade items, but also a new look for Sensei and the fruit.

You'll be able to grab the extra content for 160 Microsoft Points from Friday, August 31. Halfbrick promises many more content drops throughout the year.

Fruit Ninja Kinect arrived just over a year ago and has been downloaded 1.5 million times. It's on show at PAX this weekend, and anyone who visits will score a download code for the new content.
