Sony Pictures registers 18 “Console War movie” domains
Sony Pictures has registered 18 domains this week for “Console War movie” in various forms. The domains, dug up by Fubsible, range from TheConsoleWarmovie.com to consolewar.net and everywhere in between, and all were registered on August 23. Sony Pictures is the television and film production/distribution unit of Sony, and none of the registrations were filed by Sony Computer Entertainment. Fusible notes this could be a marketing campaign for PS4, but at this point, the purpose of the domains are anyone’s guess as there are no webpages attributed to any as of yet.

Well, as long as they don’t touch Nintendo. Nintendo cares about gamers even if they make mistakes. Microsoft is the cancer in this industry, so I wouldn’t mind some black PR. Paid online, unreliable consoles, patches on consoles – blame MS and noone else.

it only does everything?
forced updates, rootkits, feature removal, zero privacy, shitty security, phishing, spyware…oh, and a broken online service that exposed their clients security information

Overpriced hardware, unnecessary teh cell and poor teh Rsx which forces developers to find work arounds to implement anti-aliasing, mandatory installs, shallow videogames, over promising and under delivering from bs trailers to clumsy releases with overly long dev times, yellow rings of death, poor online, marketplace which still couldn’t keep up with the Xbla…

Is anyone here aware that Sony Computer Entertainment is not the same as Sony Pictures? There are completely different sets of writers, directors, actors, employees, executives, budgets, markets, formats, and distribution channels for video games and motion pictures.
I’d like to say it’s amazing how easily some people get confused by mentioning Sony and video games in the same paragraph, but given this website’s vitriol-addled commenting community, it isn’t all that surprising that some of the people above would leap to the conclusion that this project is some kind of mouthpiece for SCEA, and go on crying and raving about video game hardware as usual.
