Wasteland 2 development 'kicking ass' thanks to lack of corporate meddling - Fargo

Wasteland 2, the successful Kickstarter revival of Interplay's Fallout predecessor is in development now and is 'kicking ass', according to InXile's Brian Fargo. The reason? Independence and a lack of corporate interference.

In his keynote address to Unity conference Unite in Amsterdam, Fargo explained how this freedom bolsters development, "We've been working on Wasteland 2 for about 100 days, with no distractions from any kind of corporate overlord. "We have hundreds of pages of design done, we have our first music in, we have our basic UI up-and-running, and we've taken our first screenshots."

Fargo concluded, "The bottom line is that, without any interruption, we're kicking ass." He's right, as the project has amassed over a whopping $3 million in crowd funding, utterly smashing its initial target.
