Plants vs Zombies creator laid off from PopCap – report

Plants vs. Zombies creator George Fan is one of the employees at PopCap who have been laid-off by the company, according to a blog post on 1UP. However, Shack notes Fan wasn’t involved with Plants vs Zombies 2. New broke yesterday that the EA-owned studio had made a number of cuts at its Seattle headquarters and its Dublin location and the later is also being evaluated to see if things can be improved “without having to close the operation.”

EA needs to let go of their board of bullshit directors, starting with that cock of a president and the CEO.

Wow. I don’t hold EA in very high regard, but I would never have thought they’d throw away actual talent like that.

‘Thanks for giving us a top selling game, now here is your P45 and fuck off’.

Typical EA. Is it any wonder they are THE most unoriginal publisher out there right now. Army of two #3, Battlefield 4, Fifa 1 billion, NFS a trillion, Crysis 3, the list of endless shit continues.

This is the problem when you let someone bigger buy your company, they get all the control and can dump you in a second :/ They should have stayed by themselves :(

That is a deeply, deeply retarded decision. Baffling too.
