CS:GO missing from EU PS Store, Sony working to “resolve the issue”

Wednesday, 22nd August 2012 15:39 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is missing from the weekly EU PS Store update, as you may have noticed.

The shooter, which was released in the US yesterday on PS3, Mac and PC, was supposed to land on the PSN service today in the UK and Europe.

Sony has apologized for CS:GO’s delay, but has yet to announce when to expect it.

“Unfortunately counter strike has not been made available on the European PlayStation store today, and we apologise to those of you who were looking forward to playing it,” reads a statement on the matter.

“We hope to resolve this issue as quickly as possible, and will let you know if the situation changes.”

CS:GO is out today on Xbox 360 in all announced regions.

It’s puzzling how this sort of thing happens to Sony more than MS.

Its not puzzling, its simple economics. PSN is a cheap, shoddy cobbled together mess staffed by monkeys who work for peanuts on a shoestring budget. XBL is funded and it shows in how much better it works and how much more featured it is.

People dont think of the knock-on effects of having free stuff.

It happens to Sony Europe more than anyone else. SCEE (bar the people sorting PS+ content) appears to be staffed by monkeys pissing into their own mouths.

SCEE always sucks, because PS3 rules Europe except UK!

SCEE is doing shit. That Counter thing is unacceptable. The new BD section is a mess, you can find demo games or misses some other you can find in other places like SFIV:AE. Is that hard?.
