Skyrim’s next DLC could be ‘Hearthfire’, Bethesda files trademark

Skyrim: Hearthfire could be the game’s second DLC expansion, according to a new trademark filed by Bethesda.

Filed by Bethesda’s parent company Zenimax, the trademark description reads, 2Computer game software for use with computers and video game consoles; downloadable computer game software offered via the internet and wireless devices.”

Eagle-eyed Elder Scrolls fans will already know that Hearthfire is 9th month of the in-game calendar, so the name fits the world. If this is DLC, you can expect Hearthfire to launch on Xbox 360 first, as per Microsoft and Bethesda’s exclusivity deal.

Thanks OPM.

Speaking of DLC, Dawnguard, PS3, Still not bloody ready!? Why do I buy their games on PS3? Seems they don’t know how to develop for it.

Instead of wasting time on shitty DLCs, just develop a bloody full-featured Expansion pack.

Had you played Knights of the Nine for Oblivion? That was joke of an expansion, Dawnguard is a REAL expansion. But in then ext one it would be good if you could go to province or realm like you did in Bloodmon for Morrowind or Shivering Isles for Oblivion

Another example of games journalists not checking their stuff – Hearthfire was trademarked along the same time as the Dawnguard/Snow Elf stuff was too.

Old news.
