Smash Bros. Wii U: New characters confirmed

I really dislike when a franchise known for its roster of playable characters gets cut down. There’s really no excuse, they already have the base templates down for the next game & surely adding new characters couldn’t be that hard. I imagine it might with PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale because they’d have to obtain many licenses for use of the several third party characters. Speaking of which, I hope for the sake of Sony fans they can obtain Crash & even Spyro from ActiVision.

The gameplay of the Smash bros series has never changed all that much, it has always been about new things. I don’t think it should be different for this expansion. I really hope they put in more characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog series,(Blaze the cat in particular)And if this is with namco characters from soul calibur and tekken like Heahachi would be neat as well.

Who would I like to see joining the fight? I’d like to see Mewtwo, Ridley, the Powerpuff Girls (Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup), and of corse, Pac Man. These are the characters I’m hoping would make it for SSB4.

Really OM? Makes that much a difference for you? I tend to like 720P over 1080P in some cases because the images are bigger. But generaly speaking it doesn’t make a noticable difference for me. Frame rate on the other hand…

I think nintendo and namco need to think out side the box.

Every character should have alternate costumes that alter their move sets. For example:-

Mario’s other costumes (skins)

Paper mario
Mario 3 (raccoon mario)
8 Bit mario
N64 smash brothers mario
Gamecube smash brothers mario
Baby Mario
Doctor Mario
etc etc

This way fans get to battle as the retro mario or other character of their choice.

I would like to see sonic have a retro skin and move set

A gameboy version of wario from wario 1 with his power-ups like bull wario, cow wario, dragon wario etc

Peppy and slippy (even if you hate slippy, it’d be great to have him there for funny custom game purposes)

@8: great list! doshin! great and underrated game. it wasnt flawless but there was something special about it. non nintendo, bubble bobble would be totally cool indeed, played the shit out of this game with my cousin on c64, hundred years ago…and the giana sisters. tails is a must. i love tails. everytime i see tails i must smile. true story. it’s like home to me. i want him in every game i buy.i want tails in gears of war too.

and we all know that the master chief is actually tails.

They should definitely add the new generation Pokemon that is a must.

I think they should add Kazuya/Jin/Jun from Tekken since the company is working with them. Maybe even Lili or Alisa. Or Leo.

Also Ghirahim, and Skyward Zelda/Link.

They need some more KI characters like maybe Palutena or Viridi or Dark Pit.

Pokemon characters as fighters like Iris or Cilan

3rd party should be:
Tails or Knuckles
Dante from Devil May Cry – Not likely but would be nice! And they had Snake which i kind of thought wasnt exactly a “Nintendo” thing because of his game background.
Amy Rose
Sora from Kingdom Hearts – its a chance
Nene, Hideyoshi, Nobugnoa Oda, Hanbei Takenaka, Ranmaru Mori, or Oichi from Samurai Warriors. I think it would be awesome to have one or more of these characters on Smash Bros.

I’m hoping some of these or all appear on the new roster.

#25 Night Angel, Seriously?! Snake STARTED on Nintendo. Check out the Metal Gear NES games.

@27 – BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZTT!!!! WRONG! Snake started on MSX. The Metal Gear NES game is a port (and a poor one, at that) of the MSX title. That’d be like saying that Naked Snake started on 3DS because MGS3 got a port.

Snake being in Smash Brothers still makes more sense than Dante, though. Since there has been two ports to Nintendo systems, one original title (the second NES title, the not-approved-by-Kojima Snake’s Revenge), and the remake of MGS1, Twin Snakes, on Gamecube. There have been no games with Dante in them unless you count his appearance in that recent 3DS game.
