1C Company shed some light on its upcoming title. Sit back, relax, and nod your head to this exciting trailer!

The publisher hasn’t revealed who’s developing the game, but it’s likely to fall into the hands of Katauri, who worked on the previous titles.

King’s Bounty was a pleasant surprise when it first arrived in 2008, enjoying critical success with its debut and sequel, which landed in 2009. The game throws you into a fantasy world of exploration and survival, as you travel across a diverse map rounding up good to raise an army.

Warriors of the North is based on Norse mythology, and will provide up to 60 hours playing time. If the trailer is anything to go by, we’re in for a treat:

On one hand this is good news (though it was actually announced last year). I’m always interested in more King’s Bounty. On the other… well, it looks like yet another standalone expansion for a 2009-game. What I really want at this point is a proper sequel.

Yeah, I’d say the first game has run its course. Great game though.

I second that. King’s Bounty was somewhat gorgeous back when the first one was released, the second one was still alright (even though I felt the expansion pack feel was questionable back then already) but it seriously needs a major overhaul by now.
