DayZ lead would like to see the mod on consoles

DayZ project lead Dean Hall would like the ArmA 2 mod to release on consoles, but admits it will only be possible if the stand-alone PC experience sells well on the platform.

Speaking with a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/15/dayz-lead-wants-game-on-consoles-having-meetings-about-it-at/" target="_new">Joystiq, Dean Hall said he's currently in meetings with console developers at gamescom on the possibility.

"You're not going to put it on the consoles if you're only going to sell 100,000 units or something like that," he said. "DayZ will be driven by its PC development and it will innovative on that.

"And, once we're at a point, we'll take it and do a Mac version, 360 and PS3."

DayZ will release as a stand-alone experience on PC - it was announced last week- but a release date has yet to be provided.
