By Nick Akerman, Tuesday, 14 August 2012 15:25 GMT

EA has announced the GM Connected dynasty mode for NHL 13, alongside a new skating system for the franchise.

GM Connected allows groups of friends to participate in a single league. Players can stay connected via mobile, and when they are away from the console.

The True Performance Skating aims to replicate the intricacies of traveling across the ice, allowing for greater control.

NHL 13 hits shelves on September 13 2012.
