Killzone: Mercenary revealed as Vita exclusive, fight alongside Helghast forces

Killzone Mercenary has been revealed at Sony's gamescom 2012 conference.

A short trailer by Guerrilla Games, and posted below, announced the game, which sees players taking contracts out on their friends for bounties and heading out into the world to take them down from an FPS perspective.

Killzone: Mercenary is a first-person shooter built on the same engine as Killzone 3, which implements both the twin-stick FPS control scheme alongside touch pad functionality.

For the first time in a Killzone campaign, players will fight alongside Helghast forces as well the ISA, carrying out missions regular soldiers just won’t or can’t handle.

As a mercenary, players will be free to decide which tactics and loadouts they will use to fulfill contracts; and rewards range from "state-of-the-art weaponry to cold, hard cash" upon completion.

Killzone: Mercenary is out next year, and the visuals look top notch in that similar Killzone fashion.
