Hitman: Absolution contains multiplayer mode called Contracts

Tuesday, 14th August 2012 13:47 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Hitman: Absolution features asynchronous multiplayer, according to an announcement from IO Interactive at gamescom. Called Contracts, players can create their own scenarios, can pick out three characters on a level, choose the weapons, and challenge other players to “contract”. The faster the hits are made, the more money made. Weekly contracts will be added by the developer and earned money allows new scenarios with weapons and disguises. The mode is playable at gamescom and a video of the new mode will be released tomorrow. Thanks, Joystiq.

You know it can be cool, it can be very cool if it’s done like this:

    - Players have to compete with one another in order to terminate their contracted target.
    - They can neutralizer each other, there’ll be a perma death mechanic for the duration of contract.
    - players have to finish their contract without drawing attention or getting caught.

BUT, from the sound of it it will be a fast shoot em up, run n gun crap. :< me not like..

    Its not bad idea actually.
I guess ”real Mp” like in Assassin creed would be to ambitious for their studio.

@1 – I don’t think multiple people play at the same time in one contract, it sounds like one player makes a contract, then everyone else can attempt that contract alone and try and do it the best.
