FIFA 13 Matchday replicates the drama of football

David Rutter showed the Matchday feature by replicating Sergio Aguero’s dramatic winner in last season’s Premier League.

The executive producer introduced Matchday at EA’s gamescom 2012 conference. The brand new feature aims to recreate the drama of football like never before.

Matchday will allow fans to follow their own club. Injuries, suspensions and media gossip will be highlighted, plus you’ll hear real-world stories as they happen. Each player’s stats will also change throughout the season, ensuring a different strategy must be taken with each match.

FIFA 13 also received a new trailer earlier in the day:

So the referee would not call goals that cross the goalkeping line, will not call clear penalties, etc, wooww it will be a real simulation this time, not the ideal (untrue) view of the sport.

I remember they adding “bad decisions by ref” as a fearure in Champions League 04/05. It was pretty cool.
