PC version of Minecraft has sold over 7 million copies

The PC version of Mojang's indie sensation Minecraft has passed another major sales milestone.

The sandbox indie adventure has sold over 7 million copies on PC alone.

The news was shared by Mojang's business developer Daniel Kaplan via a tweet.

"More than 7 million minecraft (pc) copies sold," he said, and also thanked its fans via another tweet. "Thank you all Minecrafters around the world showing such dedication and support."

Minecraft also has a Xbox 360 version which recently crossed the 3 million units sold mark and currently sells around 17,000 copies daily.
