Xbox 720 to support Skype according to job listing – report

Xbox 720 is to support Skype technology, according to a job posting discovered online.

The job posting calls for individuals to assist Microsoft in integrating Skype in the living room through a multitude of devices including Xbox 360 and the next generation Xbox, “The team you ‘it is responsible for Skype join in the living room (broadly the home), across goal: various devices with a focus on the wide screen and the next generation of Xbox ”

Elsewhere, the posting states that the successful candidate will be, “Working with the Xbox team Directly in Redmond, USA. (Both current and next gen Xbox).”

Microsoft recently acquired Skype, so it is likely that Xbox 360, at least will be getting more Skype functionality in the future.

Not surprising, knowing Microsoft spent 8.5B to get Skype, now they will integrate it everywhere, which is a good thing mind you. I love skype :)
