Hero Academy delayed on Steam after missing launch date

By Jeff Dunn, Thursday, 9 August 2012 17:25 GMT

Popular iOS strategy game Hero Academy has missed its Steam port’s launch date, developer Robot Entertainment told Joystiq.

“We ran into an unexpected issue at the last minute. The issue only seems to affect a small portion of players, but we’re not comfortable shipping the game until we’ve resolved it,” Robot’s Justin Korthof said. “We know it’s a nuisance for players who were excited to start playing yesterday, but it’s important to us that Hero Academy is at its best when it’s released.”

A new release date of August 16 has been given, although Korthof notes he and the rest of Robot are “optimistic that it will be out sooner than that,” and that we should expect an update on the situation within the next day or two.
