Wargaming acquires Australian middleware company BigWorld for $45 million

Wargaming has acquired BigWorld, an Australian middleware company for $45 million. The World of Tanks developer said the acquisition will "make internal development more efficient," while help the firm reach its $200 million a year revenue goal as it also prepared World of Warplanes for launch. "BigWorld has a licensing business of its own, and we will continue to support its customers," Wargaming boss Victor Kislyi told VentureBeat. "We will be in a position in the future, if everything goes right, to offer the combined BigWorld and Wargaming technology to anyone who wants to do an MMO."
