Sony trademarks “Rain”, leaked footage appears – Report
Sony has registered a new trademark for something called “Rain”. While first assumptions may point to something Heavy Rain-related, what is rumoured to be leaked footage of the project suggests otherwise.
SCEA has filed the trademark under ‘software’, and with Sony’s pre-Gamescom conference just a week away, signs are pointing to a reveal of some kind. There is no confirmation if this is a PS3 or PS Vita title either.
What is rumoured to be leaked footage of Rain shows a young woman tussling with armed guards through a series of QTE attacks in the rain, obviously. There is also mechs, free-running and what appears to be hacking.

Looks like MGR/Bayonetta/Vanquish I think?
(at least, that’s as much of an impression I can get from an interlaced to fuck 480×360 gif at ~10fps)

Looking at QTE design of the buttons I bet 90% on PS3. On PS Vita buttons are not colour-labeled, so mostly they appear grayscale in all the games. Though it could be from a very early build of the game when it hadn’t been clear for developers whether there would be coloured buttons or not.

I was actually thinking Vita but very good point on the colour coding. Given it’s Sony then coming to both wouldn’t be out of the question. However QTE – so meh.
