Assassin's Creed 3 PS3 has an extra hour of gameplay

Assassin's Creed 3 on PlayStation 3 will boast a whole extra hour of additional content, according to the game's boxart.

The boxart was posted on Amazon. Sony and Ubisoft's mutual admiration was made clear at E3 2012, with the platform holder scoring an exclusive stage demo of naval battles, and promising platform-exclusive DLC at launch.

It's not clear whether the additional content referred to on the box is the DLC Sony mentioned; whether the content would be free or a premium offering was not detailed. It's also not obvious whether the content will later be offered as DLC for PC and Xbox 360 owners, but it seems quite likely.

Sony has at least one other Assassin's Creed exclusive - Vita game Liberation, due alongside the home console versions in late October. The PC release is due before the end of the year.

Thanks, CVG.
