OnLive to be available day one on Ouya console
OnLive GM Bruce Grove has announced the streaming service will be available on the Ouya Android games console.

It will be available day one on the console, and subscribers will be able to sign on right away and start streaming, and if you click through the link, you’ll get a better look at the console and its controller.
“When OnLive first heard about Ouya, we were excited to see console gaming becoming more available and open,” said Grove on the console’s Kickstarter page.. “Like Ouya, we came to gaming with a new vision for making top-quality gaming accessible to more people, and we continue to look for ways to expand on that vision.
“Ouya is rethinking the console business, making waves by using standard technology to make gaming for your living room accessible, affordable and more innovative than ever. In OnLive’s case, we pioneered a groundbreaking, cloud-based system that instantly delivers games to any device on demand.
“We are pleased to announce that OnLive will be available on Ouya at launch, extending and building on our commitment to make the best games available to everyone, everywhere.”
Ouya is out in early 2013, and with 12 days left on its Kickstarter, the console has gained 43,401 backers who have pledged $5,548,828.

I think people are putting too much hope on a console that will probably be dead on arrival . A platform that is hackable is not good for any devs indie or Aaa alike.
That aside isnt 99$ too less for such a device? The cheapest device available now is nexus 7 which is 150$ . They havent told anything about manufacturing and they can’t sell it at a loss like sony or ms . Sounds really fishy to me.
The only games the platform will generally see are exclusives because platform holders pay for them. That’s why none of the major aaa games are announced for it.
Also about fun games, angry birds and games alike are successful only because they are on mobile . People buy consoles for long gaming aaa sessions not for bit sized mobile games . there are many descrepancies in what they are saying. See the brilliant eurogamer “Saturday Soapbox” article for this.
