New Ty the Tasmanian Tiger game on the way

Independent Australia developer Krome Studios has announced a new Ty the Tasmanian Tiger game.

No word on platforms as yet, but Krome has promised to reveal more information soon.

The news was broken via a website relaunch, which seems to herald something of a revival for the developer.

Krome's return has been welcomed by local industry figures, as the company's 2010 downsizing was a serious blow to the local indie scene. In addition to Ty, Krome is also responsible for the Blade Kitten property.

Ty spawned three PS2 games, variously published by EA and Activision.
