EA debunks Riccitiello replacement rumours
During the publisher’s annual general meeting, via MCV, EA chairman Larry Probst assured shareholders that there are “absolutely no plan to replace John Riccitiello as CEO”. The issue was raised in a Q&A session after rumours broke earlier in the month that Peter Moore was set to take over the executive’s role. EA’s fluctuating share price was cause for some speculation of a management shake up, but Probst was adamant that EA’s board remains confident in Riccitiello.
Thanks, Talkar.

I wonder how low their stock can go before it does come true though.
They’ll be under 10 dollars by September.

I think its tough for JR. When he started on his ‘plan’, the gaming space changed and EA tried to adapt as well. With some dodgey acquisitions along the way and of course TORtanic he is going to struggle to keep his job by the end of this year.
All investors care about is a return on that investment and under JRs leadership, EA have yet to return a full years set of profits. Maybe JR should stick to oil in Dallas

Actually he used to sell candybars and basketballs.
I think that’s a lot funnier than oil
EA has always been synonymous with dodgy acquisitions though. It’s just a crazy borg-like approach in my opinion, and it seems to me like it’s always based on the flavor of the month.
They always seem to forget that they have to actually make something of those studios afterwards.

@5 thats just it. EA buy up a studio, remove the talent(the reason why they bought it in the first place) then expect it to perform. Countless years have gone by and they have stuck to this formula.
They dont appear to be learning by their mistakes. Poor JR. Maybe he can ask Sue Ellen for help
