Dark Souls price jumps by $30
Having arrived on the Australian Steam storefront at $39.95, the PC port of From Software’s brutal RPG Dark Souls had leapt to $69.95. It’s not clear whether the original listing was in error, as our international staff report the $69.95 price tage is visible on the US side as well – although international price comparison scripts disagree. A $70 price tag is fairly normal for the Australian market as publishers usually price match digital sales to retailer pricing, but seems pretty high for the US. We’re awaiting further informaiton. Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition launches on August 24.

Maybe they discovered that Barclays fixed the price?

It’s still £29.99 (which is roughly $45 AU and $47 US) on the UK steam store.

For anyone looking to pre-order this or Dark Souls I would like to redirect you two these two codes. At Green Man Gaming you can buy Borderlands 2 for $48 if you enter this code COSYO-UDIDN-TGET1. For Dark Souls you can buy it for $32 with this code PARTP-ALCNO-TIESU. Coupons expire at the end of July.
