Report - Ubisoft doesn't have a "huge investment" in the Wii U

According to a NeoGaf user's transcription of a call to investors, Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot doesn't feel the publisher is over committed to Nintendo's new console.

The executive pointed out that of Ubisoft's seven planned Wii U titles, five are ports, and the other two do not approach the costs of major franchises like Assassin's Creed or Ghost Recon.

"As we've always said when there is such an innovation the need is not to have big production value but to concentrate on the innovation; this is what we are trying on Rayman and ZombiU," he is reported to have said.

"For the other five games, you are talking about small budget, I'd say of less than a million euro to make some of the ports, I'd estimate. So together I don't think we have a huge investment on the Wii U."

The Wii U is scheduled to launch this year.
