A German consumer advocacy group has laid down another ultimatum over Diablo III, this time focusing on the RPG’s always-on DRM.
The Federation of Consumer Organizations had previously laid down a deadline of July 20 for Blizzard to respond to complaints regarding the game’s frequent downtimes at launch, but was not satisfied with the publisher’s efforts and is threatening to pursue the matter further.
Blizzard has said it underestimated demand for the anticipated RPG, which sold over 6 million copies during launch week, overloading authentication servers to birth the notorious error 37.
