Wreckateer is the first game to include MS's new Avatar Famestars feature

Iron Galaxy's Wreckateer will include a new feature when it launches next week called Avatar Famestars. If it sounds familiar, it's because a trademark for it popped up back in February.

According to Joystiq, Avatar Famestars is a new program from MS Studios in which players participating in a select group of games will be tasked with completing in-game challenges. Players will earn rewards based on earning Famestar points, which will span across various games along with the point total.

Avatar Famestars is set to an individual's Xbox 360, for now at least. Support for the new feature will be included in more titles on 360, such as the already released Full House Poker and A World of Keflings.

Games on the horizon which will include the feature are: Fire Pro Wrestling, Homerun Stars, and Avatar Motocross Madness.

Meanwhile, the first game to use the feature, Wreckateer launches next Tuesday, July 24 on Xbox Live Arcade.
