That was excellent. The lighting in the room where he picked up the shotgun or the whole last few minutes was incredible.

This game is my most expected game of the next year. For now nothing can come close to how much I want to play this game.

@7, No. Not even if your rig can make it shine like a angels arse. Linear and scrappy, whose faults were largely ignored due to its uniqueness.

Wait for the sequel, it will still be unique and an all round better experience (hopefully).

@11 Whaaat?! You mad?! 2033 is the game with one of the best atmospheres in recent years(I must say on par with what Half-Life 2 did).
Yeah it have problems, but alone for the story and atmosphere it is wort picking, for god sake it is dirt cheap.

@11 For a few quid it sure is,it looks better than most of the games out there even without the DX 11 turned and rare are the games that are on par with this one when it comes to the overall atmosphere.

I want to buy this game for PS3, but tell me: This is sequence of Metro 2033, which has not been released for PS3, right? My PC isn’t powerfull enough to run Metro 2033. Will I be impaired with the story of Last Light without playing the 2033?

  15. OrbitMonkey

Money is not the issue. Wasting time on an inferior game is. The sequel will have hopefully removed the niggles from the gameplay and still retain the *atmosphere*.

@14, Read the book. More fun.

  17. absolutezero

Yeah buy the book then they might actually bother translating the follow up novel.

Sorry OB but for $4.99 I can’t not go for it. Hopefully my 670 will sort it out as I’m fully aware of how niggly it can be! Thanks 9, 10 & 12. :)

Just noticed the refrain of the score during the flashback. Lovely.

    @OrbitMonkey, stop saying stupid bullshit.

Metro 2033 was an inferior game? YOU NEVER PLAYED it to begin with.
Metro The Last Light is a spin off first of all. There are not a lot of improvements, except for visuals. Everything else are minor fixes and nothing more.

Metro 2033 was absolutely incredible and there is no point buying the Last light if you didn’t played the first game or never touched a book.

@Len, go pick it up. It’s a great game. You could pick this up at launch. It’s worth every penny.

I hope you won’t miss The Last Light launch.

@Erthazus, pfft, Your opinion is invalid, I’ve seen the pictures of you running around the Moscow underground in your cycle mask pretending your Anton :-P

Plus I did play it… On the 360 *cough* prolly not the best platform I admit :-/

  23. voxelman

@#8 But Last Light does have multiplayer…

Also the first game was good, and the sequel looks amazing and improve on the first game in almost every way. Can’t wait to play this, I was gutted when it was delayed, tho an extra few months of polish is probably a good thing for the game.
