Battleblock Theater passes MS certification

The Behemoth has announced Battleblock Theater has passed Microsoft certification. Speaking with Joystiq at Comic Con, project manager Emil Ayoubkhan broke the good news. The game is about friendship, betrayal, and evil cats – which always seem to go hand-in-hand we’ve found – and was originally slated for release in 2010. According to a statement provided to VG247 from The Behemoth: “BBT does not have a release date or time frame and the correct phase that we have passed is code-complete.” So, hopefully a release date will be announced soon.

Yeah. Whatever happened to this game? There was a HUGE amount of anticipation for the next title from Behemoth. There were many teasers and stuff but then nothing for months. Even E3 didn’t bring much.

@2 According to the devs, the scope of the game ending up being a lot larger than they originally planned, sp they’ve been working on it ever since. Personally, I can’t wait.
