First trailer shows Spartacus Legends in gladiatorial action

This trailer doesn’t contain enough Lucy lawless, but as this criticism can be leveled at everything that has ever existed it’s probably not fair to pick on Kung Fu Factory’s Spartacus Legends.

Announced to coincide with Comic Con, Spartacus Legends is based on the Starz TV series and allows players to create and follow the career of a gladiator from rookie to arena champion.

Some of the cast and crew have been involved in its production, but as previously grieved over, Lucy Lawless dos not seem to make an appearance.

Spartacus Legends hits consoles in early 2013.

Little to no gameplay and when there was it was heavily edited. The gameplay they did show look very shoddy the animations were very jerky and floaty like the character had no weight.

I agree with Phoenix. It looks like more of a game for play station 2 than one for play station 3. I have seen a bit more in an interview with Liam McIntyre at Comic Con, and this game doesn’t look good at all.

Perhaps, but did you play ‘Colosseum: Road to Freedom’ on the PS2? Once you got past the awful solo campaign and unlocked all the fighters the freeplay was amazing. I spent hour after hour with that title. It’s the only reason I kept my PS2. If this can graphically update that game and drop the crappy solo campaing then this will be a hit with me. I like a mainstream triple A title as much as the next bloke, but this could be just the tonic for those looking for something a bit different.
