    @1 Lawl.

    Revolutionary stuff right there, aye.

    #2 3 years ago

Oh look, it’s mr 6% accuracy, liar, liar, pants on fire, O’Connor…

Pretending to be an expert again today, are we?

    #3 3 years ago
  4. Ireland Michael

No, I’m just laughing at how tiny those maps are.

    #4 3 years ago

So you ready to explain your lies yet, or are you just going to run away as usual.

    #5 3 years ago
  6. Ireland Michael

    You are so freaking entertaining.

    You drunk again?

My, my, my… Acting like a grown man, then all he can do is tell lies on the Internet, of all places.

What a week minded human being…

    #9 3 years ago
  10. Lewis247

Seriously, a night map… Splendid? -_- The fact mw3 (literally the worst call of duty in years) dlc excites you with such a change as a night map scares me.

I’m sorry writing it now makes me look like an arsehole.

    #10 3 years ago
  11. Ireland Michael

@10 Come on man, this is revolutionary shit right here. It’s night time! That’s so bloody exciting!

    #11 3 years ago
  12. Stephany Nunneley

This thread is getting derailed. No name calling, etc. Don’t make me come in there…..

    #12 3 years ago

It’s cool. Don’t take my comment so seriously…

I’m not jumping up and down with excitement, it’s just an interesting addition.

I was just thinking of any other night maps, and he only one that I could remember was Wet Work from CoD4.

I was more interested in how it might affect gameplay. CoD4 had night vision, but MW3 doesn’t. I suppose they’ll have to make sure none of the teams/players are in all black cammo.

I was just thinking about possible gameplay scenarios, that’s all…

And as for whether MW3 is the worst CoD or not, well that’s a matter of opinion.

    #13 3 years ago

Steph, why not just ban the troll?

Then you don’t have to worry about jumping into the comments and defending him every time he goes into a nerd rage, do you?

    #14 3 years ago
  15. Stephany Nunneley

I am just tired of everyone arguing and name calling no matter who they are regardless of the thread. Enough already. Don’t like someone? Ignore their post. Period. Pretend it is not there.

I am the enforcer while Pat is away, so, like I said last week: anymore fighting and everyone goes to bed without dessert and gets TV privileges taken away.

    #15 3 years ago

    That’s not good enough Steph.

What are you going to do about the blatant trolling?

I could equally say that you should ignore these posts and pretend they’re not there, but you can’t, can you?

    #16 3 years ago
  17. Telepathic.Geometry

Jesus G1GA, it’s straight from page 1 of the troll book. Ignore them and they go away. Go into a rage, and they breed and multiply. Steph is only asking you to act like an adult and ignore the peeps you think are ridiculous stupid trolls. Why would you even care what someone you regard as an arsehole thinks anyway.

    #17 3 years ago

    I don’t care.

    But it’s it’s a simple equation.

If they’re free to troll, I’m free to call them whatever I like.

    #18 3 years ago
  19. OlderGamer

He really isn’t trolling tho G1GA, not anymore then you did yourself on the Mario thread. Infact it sort of started the exact same way.

Someone clicks into a thread, and makes a neg comment about the game/thread in question(I do it so much, I was thinking about renaming my handle Grumpy OlderGamer):

    13/07/12, 5:31 am
That has to be the worst looking Mario game I’ve ever seen…

Oh, and @1, you can’t seriously say that about CoD, when FIFA has two releases every single year.

Now I don’t agree with your post on the Mario game, but that doesn’t really label you a troll. You don’t agree with Mikes comment about the nite map(I do btw, lots of fps games have night stages, its nothing new), but it doesn’t make him a troll either.

In fact truth be told, you fired the first nasty comment/personial attack in this thread. I haven’t been following this feud across multiple threads so sorry if it was “your serve”, but still. Just saying. I agree with Steph, should sorta give it rest.

    #19 3 years ago
  20. Stephany Nunneley

I don’t take sides. I am Sweden okay? I just want everyone to get along, that’s all, and if you can’t just be civil. That’s all. Call me a yellow-backed namby pamby hippy if you like. ;)

    #20 3 years ago
  21. OlderGamer

Not too sure if everyone will ever get along tho. I know lots of folks here aren’t fans of mine, and vica versa. Still love the site tho. And your right, Civil is good.

    #21 3 years ago
  22. DSB

    @20 Oh, I see. You’re Sweden eh?

So you don’t want to fight the nazis, and you’re fine with letting anyone invade Norway by offering them right of passage. I see how it is!

My great grandmother was so Norwegian it practically wore off on us down through generations, and she had a few things to say about that :P

    #22 3 years ago
  23. Stephany Nunneley

@22 It was a figure of speech as you well know darlin’ :p

    #23 3 years ago
  24. DSB

@23 I know, but it’s practically routine to give you shit for absolutely everything.

    #24 3 years ago
  25. Ireland Michael

@16 “That’s not good enough Steph.”

How about you get the fuck off her ass and stop being an overbearing Internet bully to everyone you don’t agree with?

You don’t like a negative opinion? Deal with it. That doesn’t make it trolling.

    #25 3 years ago

    1. Sorry, but you read too much into my Mario comment. Fact is, I’ve probably played more Mario than you in my life, and that video blatantly was the worst looking Mario game I’ve ever seen.

Now here’s the difference. I can have a reasonable adult discussion with you, or anyone else who disagrees with my opinion.

Why is it the worst? It doesn’t look like a Mario game. It looks more like an iPad game along the lines of Jetpack Joyride. Un and jump, run and jump, run and jump. Where is the creativity that we usually see in 2D Mario games? I finished NSMB twice on DS, and perfected it. I don’t see any appeal in the new one.

Now, you can agree or disagree, but at least there is a rational point behind what I say.

Now, this troll O’Connor comes into comments with sarcasm and laughter.

    Yeah, fake, hysterical, irrational ‘laughter’.

    Where is the discussion?

It’s chalk and cheese, OG, chalk and cheese.

    2. Yeah, too right I fired the first personal attack here. The guy deserves everything he gets, 100%.

He’s nothing more than a troll, so he gets what trolls deserve. Disrespect, and correct labelling.

Every time he pops his little troll face up into the comments, I fully intend to show him up for what he is.

    Let’s look at the facts.

The guy lies to try and make negative comments about whatever he wants to troll.

Every time he goes into a thread (remember this, because you’ll notice it day after day), he’ll pick on a comment and say something like…

‘You don’t know what you’re talking about if you think…’ or ‘yeah, sure *rolls eyes*, you have no clue about…’ or ‘you’re so unbelievably wrong…’

    Pure troll behaviour.

You might not see it, or want to see it, because he defends Nintendo, but that’s just the way it is.

    #26 3 years ago

    Silence, troll!

    #27 3 years ago
  28. Ireland Michael

@26 tl;dr version: It’s okay when I do it but not if everyone else does.

I could quote a half dozen established people here who have spoken to me about you in the last month alone, without any provocation on my belalf, who think *you* are the most obnoxious, annoying, egotistical troll in the history of this entire site, bar maybe Da Man and Shatner. You *intentionally* post on a regular basis with no other incentive other than to insult people.

Expressing an opinion isn’t trolling. Get over it. Heck, I wouldn’t even consider Erth a troll. I think his opinions are utterly bullshit, but that still doesn’t make it trolling.

“Every time he goes into a thread (remember this, because you’ll notice it day after day), he’ll pick on a comment and say something like…”

This is hilarious mainly because of the countless threads I *don’t* do this in.

    #28 3 years ago
  29. OrbitMonkey

On topic, i’d say that night-time map is for face-offs… Its tiny!

The others appear to have a lot of verticality.

    #29 3 years ago

I believe absolutely nothing that you say just because you say it.

    You are a proven liar.

The evidence is there for everyone to see, in black and white, away from your stealth editing little fingers.

    You express no opinions, liar.

These comments are a perfect example. Your first post is Inane laughter and sarcasm.

    Blatant trolling.

    #30 3 years ago
  31. Ireland Michael

@30 And I can live happy in the knowledge that everything I just said is the absolute truth.

    #31 3 years ago
  32. OrbitMonkey

Off topic, if Steph is Sweden, then she’s to blame for ABBA?!

    #32 3 years ago

    Yeah, in troll land.

    #33 3 years ago
  34. Stephany Nunneley

    @32 NO! :D

    #34 3 years ago
  35. DSB

But then on the other hand… She’s also to blame for ABBA!

    *explodes in song*

    And Ace of Base.

    That’s two amazing musical milestones.

    #35 3 years ago
  36. monkeygourmet

Sorry, but I’m with Giga here…

O’Conner is a troll at best, at his worse he displays a worrying amount of self righteous behaviour.

His comments are rarely backed up with any quality substance and 90% of his posts involve him appearing on a thread just to bitch about a game he doesn’t even like…

    Gears, COD, GOW etc, etc…

When challenged he continually falls back on the:

“it’s just, like, my opinion man” argument. Which is a lame as f**k comeback.

Giga called you on some of your bullshit lies and you had nothing to say. End of….

Also, you constantly claim to be a victim of bullying? Can’t you see your attitude is just as bad as the people you are blaming?

    #36 3 years ago
  37. Ireland Michael

@36 I’m not criticising him bullying me. I’m criticising him bullying everyone.

    #37 3 years ago
  38. monkeygourmet

Sorry dude, He seemed to have a fairly good virtual paper trail to counteract your arguments. Writing “hahahaha”, doesn’t really cut it as a comeback.

Now, regardless of bullying, you leave yourself open to people calling you out. I had a similar thing with you on gears 3 article I think.

We all remember Erth being called out for slagging COD off at every opportunity then everyone finding out he had pumped 200+ hours into it or something! :)

Calling people on stuff is enevitable especially for people like you who stick there neck out. That’s why you need to get your shit together.

If your opinionated, at least have the grace to back it up, or back down. Eithers cool, shows humility. Otherwise you just become an Internet parody of yourself…

    #38 3 years ago
  39. absolutezero

uh oh you know what internet bullying proceeds.

  41. OlderGamer

It’s not the Nintendo thing, I have played some games online with the guy. He is prety cool. But I can tell you, login on and being attacked thread after thread can change the way you think about loging on. Tea and Kerplunk come to my mind.

I think you guys should both settle down, remember your adults. It is ok to agree to disagree. Live and let live and all that shit. This is just an online forum, not a pissing contest or popularity one either. So someone doesn’t agree with you or like you? Big deal. Just saying.

Just don’t make it personal, you guys can laugh it off if ya like, but it’s not cool. Been there done that, not cool.

    #41 3 years ago
  42. monkeygourmet

I know what you mean, but to spark healthy conversation and lively debate its advisable you should state your opinion on an article then back it up slightly.

To appear, say; “xxx game sucks lawl”, then bugger off is pure flame bait and needs to be challenged. Not by obvious trolls like Somi’s Nintendo hate, but people like Michael.

He is obviously capable of debating yet he constantly appears in threads provoking a reaction. That derails a thread, as evidenced here.

If you have incredibly strong opinions, you cannot choose when people would like to challenge them. You can’t have your cake etc… Etc…

    #42 3 years ago
  43. Ireland Michael

    @38 That’s nice.

“If you have incredibly strong opinions, you cannot choose when people would like to challenge them.”

It’s the Internet. A persons opinion stops existing the moment you click away from the page.

If I want a serious debate, I’ll either have it with the people here that I actually respect (OG, DSB, StolenGlory, the staff), or get offline. And offline, you can ignore whoever the hell you want to. If you don’t like someone, you don’t hang out with them.

It’s your assumption that I’m trying to “provoke a reaction”. I’m sorry if my opinion just so happens to conflict with your own. There are countless threads daily where I do nothing but lavish praise on something, but you’re obviously not going to pay any attention to that fact because it would completely ruin your frivolous argument.

    #43 3 years ago
  44. monkeygourmet

I don’t understand. Why don’t you turn the other cheek then?!

You are full of contradiction, it becomes very hard to talk to you about these kind of things…

    What I’m saying is:

You come across as hugely opinionated on a lot of threads. Hence why people might like to argue points with you…

Then you appear on threads you have *apparently* no real opinion on, make a sweeping, trolling comment, then fuck off…

All, while slagging people off for similar behaviour,

    That’s grade A bullshit right there…

Now, who knows, you may have had a point at the start of this thread but you clearly didn’t state your case. That’s kind of important if your trying to uphold some kind of sense of false superiority in other threads…

And Giga still hasn’t been answered. So at least admit it when you were trying to wind people up.

    Be consistent…

    #44 3 years ago
  45. Ireland Michael

@44 There isn’t any contradiction. What you want to see and what I think simply don’t match up, and I don’t believe you actuslly have any real desire to understand either, unless it directly supports your personal outlook.

I simply laugh at the nightime in an FPS was something to be impressed by, but in such a generic shooter I guess you have to take what little you can get. I just didn’t feel the need to write an entire paragraph on the subject.

Even if I hadn’t numbered his comment, he still would have replied with his smarmy little comment, hung up on the fact that I am (in full admittance) shit at Halo, which is the entire basis for his whole argument. His attitude towards anyone who doesn’t like CoD is like… his only defining characteristic on here.

I have no desire to humour his pedantic and churlish attempts at harassment and bullying. I am actively polite and corteous to 90% of community here, but “turning the other cheek” is not something I personally subscribe to. If he wants to be a dick, I’m going to gladly return the favour in kind. It’s as entertaining for me as it is for him.

If it were most anyone else on here, I would be more than interested in discussing and debating points with him, but I have no delusions as to how he’d respond if I did. He’s not actually interested in a discussion. He just wants to be right.

That’s why I don’t waste my time taking him seriously. And neither does he with him.

    #45 3 years ago
  46. OrbitMonkey

DSB singing Dancing Queen? *senses disturbance in the force*

    Or its just gas :)

    #46 3 years ago

“which is the entire basis for his whole argument. His attitude towards anyone who doesn’t like CoD is like… his only defining characteristic on here.”

The basis of my argument here is that you’re a lying troll.

“He’s not actually interested in a discussion. He just wants to be right.”

Yet more proof of trolling. If this is what you think, then the only reason to write a comment to me, is blatantly to troll. Not to express an opinion.
