Capcom-sanctioned live action Street Fighter series due 2013

Since we're all about video and web series today (thanks, San Diego Comic Con!) how about a little Capcom-commissioned, live action Street Fighter up in your browser? Oh yeah.

Shoryuken Yoshinori Ono was on site to announce Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, coming in 2013 from Joey Ansah and crew.

Ansah was responsible for fan-short Street Fighter: Legacy, which showcased a face off between Ryu and Ken. This seems to have caught Capcom's eye, and the new series will cover the back stories of Ryu, Ken, Akuma, and Gouken. Check out the announcement video below, and refresh yourself on Legacy beneath that.

Capcom is pretty keen on fan-made productions; it also commissioned a Street Fighter x Tekken promo from Thousand Pounds Action. Warner Bros did something similar with Mortal Kombat, too.
