Injustice: Gods Among Us adds Nightwing, Cyborg

We’re still twiddling our thumbs waiting for official assets, but Warner Bros. unveiled two new cast members for Injustice: Gods Among Us at San Diego Comic Con.

Polygon reports Nightwing and Cyborg were shown in a new playable build.

The pair join a handful of previously revealed combatants – Batman, Superman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Flash and Wonder Woman.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is the product of NetherRealm, the team behind Mortal Kombat, which worked with DC previously on crossover titles, but has otherwise been exclusive to its fighter IP. Expect it on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2013.

The brawler was shown at EVO; you can check out 15 minutes of it in action here, and find some off-screen footage from Gamespot below.

Wow Cyborg is a curve-ball one, definitely shaking things up though. I don’t enjoy fighting games often, but this is interesting. I’d think this dev is good seeing as how they do Mortal Kombat so I have faith.

@1 Indeed. Was not expecting that one. Inb4 the whole Teen Titans team joins the roster lol. No complaints if that were to happen.

Honestly yea that wouldn’t be the worst. Even though it was a “kids” show, some of the characters were pretty interesting.

Dammit, I wanna see some proper villains and side characters from somewhere OTHER than Batman world. Where are Sinestro, Doomsday and others?
