Silent Hill HD Collection gets PS3 patch

A patch to fix numerous issues with the PS3 version of the Silent Hill HD Collection has been released via PSN, head through the break for the patch details.

A post on the Silent Hill community forum states that a patch for the Silent Hill HD Collection is available via PSN.

The patch aims to address issues caused, in part, by Konami having lost the original source code for Silent Hill 2 and 3, which led to the team working on the Silent Hill HD Collection working with incomplete versions during the remastering process.

The patch includes the following fixes:

  • Improved Frame rate
  • Voice Synch is greatly improved
  • Missing sounds have been fixed
  • Missing music has been addressed
  • Fog density issues are resolved
  • Other minor visual/audio improvements

There's no word as yet on a patch for the 360 version, which was promised along with the PS3 patch back in April.
