Sony has announced Malicious, the game where players control a Spirit Vessel awakened by prophets to defeat the Holders, will be released on July 24 via US PSN. Players will use the “the Mantle of Cinders,” a magical artifact that takes the form of weapons or a shield to defeat these evil giants. Players can select whichever stage they wish and jump directly into boss battles in whatever order they want. Upon defeating each boss, its power will be absorbed and used to gain new and unique abilities. The end goal is to defeat the “ultimate evil,” Malicious. It will run you $9.99 on release and more information will be released closer to launch.

it’s for US PSN Store, game is long out on UK PSN.

and the game isn’t all that, now I know why it wasn’t localized in the first place because western would not like this type of game

    *too hard
    *too long and time consuming
    *not enough content!

what does these means? well to play a chapter, you would spend about 30mins fighting the boss and enemies, gameplay has NO dept at all. And it’s hard because if you die, you have 3 continue that once you reach zero, you cannot have another continue unless you make a new save. So after using all continues, every time you die, you have to start all over again. Hard game that takes time and dedication!

#2 but is it good?, because for me is all that matter, iam having a great time with spelunky at the moment, and a lot of what you indicated about malicius fits spelunky in various ways.

    not worth 6pound!
    it has no depth!

basically you have the typical story on text, who would wanna read that?
graphics and sound are amazing! so many enemies on screen.

combat is basically you versus boss and minions,,,that is all. On a 5 chapter game.
Boss battle takes a long time to kill judging the fact that you are weak with no upgrades.

Trust me, it is really difficult because if you are not careful, you can die and all the 30-40min gameplay you did were for nothing.
Best example to explain is to think of a classic RPG game like Golden Sun, while you are at a low level, you take on a powerful boss, meaning you would spend nearly an hour fighting the boss.

    Its not that hard.

You can heal yourself at will, you just need some time out of the firing line.

Each boss battle is different and involves a different set of skills and powers.

Each defeated boss grants a new power to use on the remain bosses, which can be tackled in any order. Just as a guide on the bosses is a giant floating battle ship surrounded by cannon fodder troops. Another is a huge wolf, another is a suit of armour with a gatling gun lance. Each fight takes place in a wildly different arena.

I thought it was great, buried to hell and back on the EU PSN but well worth the effort to go and find.

It’s actually pretty fun, if not somewhat difficult for those of us not used to pressing 100 buttons a second (like me).
