Tekken producer feels Wii U Game Pad is "distracting"

The Wii U Game Pad's two-screen offer has a lot of interesting potential applications, but Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada doesn't think they necessarily fit the fighting genre.

Speaking to Eurogamer about Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Harada indicated he hasn't quite decided how to use the Game Pad in the team brawler.

"Looking at the small screen and the big screen at the same time is pretty distracting for a fighting game," he said.

"So we're thinking of making it useful as a way of having shortcuts. Or, by making progressing through the game more convenient. Or by playing alone on the GamePad screen."

Tekken Tag Tournament is due on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in September, and is expected to arrive on Wii U during the console's launch period.
