Activision Leeds working on remake of 1982 classic Pitfall

Activision Leeds, the recently formed UK-based studio developing Call of Duty mobile games, is first working on a reboot of '80s classic Pitfall.

Team-17 co-founder and Activision spokesperson Martyn Brown told MCV that it's not going to develop Call of Duty titles only but work on other things as well.

"The first game we are making is in fact Pitfall, which is 30 years old this year. Being able to call upon a wide portfolio of properties is really good for us and we are looking forward to finally showing Pitfall to more people."

In case you don't know, Pitfall, which launched back in 1982, was Activision's first major game release.

"We've been working on Pitfall since earlier in the year when we set up and it has been really good to revisit that and bring it to a modern audience," Brown said.

Apart from Pitfall, the studio's set to develop all mobile Call of Duty games. It'll be sharing development tools with fellow Call of Duty devs at Treyarch and Infinity Ward.
