Grasshopper collecting Lollipop Chainsaw feedback

Tuesday, 3rd July 2012 06:51 GMT By Brenna Hillier

Grasshopper Manufacture and Kodokawa Games have launched an initiative to collect player feed back on Lollipop Chainsaw, according to Gamespot‘s translation of an Impress Watch interview. Kadokawa boss Yoshimi Yasuda said Lollipop Chainsaw wasn’t received as well as might have been hoped, and the two companies have taken on board feedback from Japanese and International fans as to why. The data will be used to help fine tune the upcoming Killer is Dead, which will hopefully break something of a poor critical and commercial streak for Grasshopper.

the game is a mess… the story sucks, the character is made for young virgin who never had a girlfriend and the game look terrible

Anyway, japenese game sucks! Japenese game should be sold only in japan.

@1 It doesn’t really matter if it’s in the top ten is everything else in the top ten also sold like crap. “Top 10s” are bloody meaningless.

@2 Please tell me this is a joke post…

“which will hopefully break something of a poor critical and commercial streak for Grasshopper.”

Wait, what? Poor critical streak? Their games may not have set the charts alight, but most of them received nothing but huge critical acclaim.

Mind you, Lollipop Chainsaw isn’t one of those games. It sold poorly because it’s… well… a bad game. You can’t focus test something like that.

nop its not a joke. 100% true.
Japenese games cant match most of the western games. They sucks and they dont know how to please the western market with all the shitty jrpg they do.
I think that the western market is more mature than these bunch of japenese who are over excited by an oversized pair of boobies. After that, in most of these game there is always some pedophile insinuation or sexual insinuation .
I think the western market dont like to be treated like a 6yrs old boy who didnt ever saw a pair of boobies, and when you see the protagonist of this shit game, thats what it is… A fucking joke.

Oh and i forgot… When they try to do a western game… THEY FAIL. No one remember the shit game made by tecmo… Quantum theory?

thats why i think japense games should stay in japan. They maybe had good time in the ps2/xbox era but … Its all gone.

Now japenese game are just the shadow of what they were 10yrs ago. They are now a joke that shouldnt be take seriously.

There is no way somebody can be this ignorant without it being a deliberate troll attempt.

I mean really, if you believe 100% in what you’re saying than you have larger issues than merely completely underselling the contribution that Japanese games development has had to the world’s favourite hobby.

Like, oh I don’t know, being able to consume solid foods without it all dribbling off of your chin and onto your shirt.

Personally, I loved Lollipop Chainsaw, BUT the biggest complaint I would have for them is that I managed to beat it the same day I bought it. Sure, I’ve been having a great time replaying it, but not everyone is going to feel that way. The game should have probably been twice as long. Maybe twice as many levels or something.

Otherwise, loved the humor. Loved the characters. The soundtrack was great (although I think the bosses should have had appropriate licensed music, as well). And the boss battles were some of the most fun I’ve played in a while. But yeah, too short. And you didn’t ever need to vary your attacks on normal difficulty.

wow, and i thought only chicks helped eachother out (aimed at @ 5, 6, 8 and 9. i bet none of you have even travelled to japan and lived there like i have and have seen + played the piece of shit games they have there. im not talking the ones that YOU only see because they get imported, im talking about the ones that dont. the japanese are fucking perverts and you see it everywhere you go in their low forms of what they call “entertainment” thats all he was saying you fucking idiots. if you ever get money…(lets face it, you all dont work) try going there instead of listening to heresay like little sheep. baaaaahhhhhhh im a sheep and i follow what everyone else does baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah i cant let other people have their own opinion so i have to tell them and insult them when they dont think like me baaaaaaaaaah. go count your dicks between you and see if you make it to one. actually, you might all work at the same porn shop where you fuck eachother up the ass just as rigorously as you always try to argue your invalid and fucked up points. i recommend euthanasia immediately. no offence intended gentlemen!!

#11 do you even realize that nintendo and sony are japanese developers and the had developed and/ or did help the developement of the most great games this industry has seen since the NES, SNES and PS1, alongside with great japanese developers like capcom, square, etc, i think the games that you saw are the exception rather than the rule, and they are dedicated to an especific target like otakus, NEET, hikkikomori, etc, which in my eyes they are also good games dedicated to especific individuals that likes those games, why they cannot play the games they like?, like we do with the games we do like, i mean they also have the privilage and rights to play what they like, even if we dont like them and we dispise them, wich i dont, they have my support, this niche hobby needs the more support from gamers no matter they preferences, for istance it doesnt matter if i dont like RTS games, i hope they keep making them and they have my support, rather than complaining about the quantity and quality of those games, i know theres people out there that do love them, and for that they have my support, therefore please dont have that close mind view of things, with all due respect.

I think they should add more varied combat with different weapons, have levels with more exploration, use realistic shading, and if guns are the major weapon, include competitive or cooperative online multiplayer.

    “japanese are fucking perverts”

Yet somehow…”The United States has the world’s highest rape rate of all countries that publish such data- 13 times higher than England and more than 20 times higher than Japan”

Seems to me we could use a little more perversion in our culture, also less racism from the window lickers. I have also lived in Asia(like that actually matters) and the Japanese are in no way more perverted than any other culture I’ve encountered.

This game was never going to be a blockbuster and I don’t see how anyone expected that it would be.
