You may need a bigger coffee table for this new artbook from the team behind World of Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo. Destructoid reports The Art of Blizzard squashes 20 years of the developer’s history into a 352-page hardcover, with nearly 800 images to browse as well as commentary from Chris Metzen, Sam Didier and Nick Carpenter. The Insight Editions-published book launches in October and is available for pre-order through Amazon or at San Diego Comic Con later this month.

I sometimes like fanfiction that can expand on the canon presented in fictional works.. or give more of a focus to things that you won’t really see in official works.

Nice. Artbooks have always been more than half the reason I buy Collector’s Editions from Blizzard. That, and all the other neat stuff they throw in.
I only wonder if there’s anything in these books I didn’t see in my WoTLK, SC2, Cataclysm and Diablo III artbooks.
