"No definitive plans" to continue Resistance franchise

With three core games and two portable spin offs under its belt, the future of the Insomniac-created Resistance franchise isn't certain.

Speaking to OPM UK, Resistance: Burning Skies producer Daniel Brooke said Sony hasn't committed to continuing the Resistance series.

“The Resistance franchise has been exciting to work on but as for the future we have no definitive plans," he said.

The most recent releases in the series are Resistance 3, which hit PlayStation 3 in September 2011, and Resistance: Burning Skies, a Vita title from May.

Franchise creator Insomniac has left the property in Sony's hands.
