Treyarch "literally" in the dark over Black Ops: Declassified developer

Treyarch has said it doesn't know who's developing Call of Duty: Black Ops - Declassified for PlayStation Vita.

Sony mentioned the game at its E3 press conference earlier this month, but didn't show any footage of it, confirm the studio handling the work on it or a developer.

Following that, the first actual details confirmed all-new special ops missions within the Black Ops universe and a multiplayer mode "tailored for PS Vita.".

Despite that, we still don't know who's making it.

"I don't know," Treyarch's comms boss John Rafacz told Videogamer.

"With regards to the Vita, all I can tell you is that it's quite literally declassified."

The word you're looking for there is "classified".

Rafacz wouldn't confirm if Black Ops 2 itself was to come to Wii U, saying it's only "announced that the game is coming for 360, PS3 and PC. Announcements regarding any other SKUs just haven't been made."

However, he added that any tech which would "enhance the Call of Duty experience" is worth bearing in mind.

"When you talk about any technology that can enhance the Call of Duty experience, that's a technology that is worth considering.

"There's that core Call of Duty experience and that is what fans expects, so anything that helps advance that is worth considering."

Black Ops 2 launches on November 13 for PS3, 360 and PC. Black Ops: Declassified is expected to launch alongside BO2 on PS Vita this holiday.
