Strong sell-through for Persona 4 The Golden

PS Vita JRPG, Persona 4 The Golden has topped the Japanese chart with 137,076 units sold and a sell-through rate of 84.11 percent, Andriasang has reported.

Persona 4 The Golden has broken a PS Vita record in Japan by becoming the first title to break the 100,000 unit barrier in week one sales, according to data company Media Create.

In doing so, it claimed top spot in the Japanese charts selling 137,076 units with an 84.11 percent sell-through rate - sell-through measures units sold to consumers, rather than just shipped to stores. By comparison, Persona 3 on PSP sold 94,000 units in its first week in 2009.

Media Create also reported that Suda51's zombie-slasher, Lollipop Chainsaw saw sales of 53,000 on PS3 and 14,000 on Xbox 360, with a sell-through rate of 77 percent on both systems.
