Phantasy Star Online 2 open beta goes live in Japan
SEGA has announced the open beta for its free-to-play MMO, Phantasy Star Online 2, has started in Japan. The beta will allow participants to reach level 30, and the Japanese client can be downloaded for PC here. The game is slated for a summer release.

Yes, but it is a real pain in the ass.
http://www.pso-world.com/ has a walk through including a rough translation. The trouble is you need a physical address inside JP at some point. Yea, thats going to happen,lemme grab my phone book. I mean you could do it, and some other tricky bits too. But yeah, I am not gonna mess with it. It is a real oversight imo not to bring this out to the west.
There will be a Vita version. And I am betting we will see a console(WiiU?) version in a year or two. But I really wanted this on PC.
